Christmas Cards

Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time.

Its Christmas card time! Christmas boxes are down, glitter is out, snow in a bottle sits on the desk and poinsettia dies. This year I have been determined to use my stash of papers and Christmas embellishments ..
A few layers of paper, lots of glitter, some bling, bunches of poinsettias and one card down (okay I usually make two at a time - so two cards done)

Enter if you dare
A house is never still in darkness to those who listen intently; there is a whispering in distant chambers, an unearthly hand presses the snib of the window, the latch rises.
~ J.M. Barrie
Each shingle and siding was painted and then cut from the grafix chipboard and glued on . The moss is is green embossing powder mixed with matte gel medium
The shutters were simply black cardstock painted, cut and glued and the wood boards covering the window ... back to the black grafix chipboard, painted, a pin to create the lines and voila wood pieces .

Spooky trees cut and painted and the fence pillars tiny cut pieces of the grafix chipboard. On those to add texture I added sand and cheesecloth before painting them gray.
So Once upon a time that was the house , 10 sheets of the 6x6 grafix chipboard and 80 hours later House #13 is now on the block!
Happy Halloween!
okay I'm off .. I have started a fairy house and this is the walkway so far....
