Mojo Monday

Its a double me Mojo Monday! The sketch and the inspiration are from ME..ME .. I do not do many layouts anymore -  they are hard to do when your mojo just  does not want to work with you when it comes to layouts ...so I have to start days in advance to create a layout and then (shhh I cheat .. I  make the sketch after the layout)

For the layout I used Jodie Lee's Fairy Bell Collection for Prima  - They are my colors and I love the softness ... when  mojo is not  with you - you have to go to tried tested and true   to make creating a  little easier. 

There are lots and lots of handmade resin flowers (the lilies the small daisies, the leaves ) and they have been painted with 13@rts paints... If you have not used the 13@rts paints yet -  then buy 2 or 3 of your favorite colors and trust me you will be back to by them all .... They are the bomb in paints!  This was my first time using them ... and  I was shocked  how  much I am in love with them  ... A staple on the desk forevermore. Flying Unicorn Flowers with Petaloo flowers mixed in .

I love the above saying so using  a canvas sheet - gesso medium matte, gesso and  chipboard with a few  flowers  I created the above.  I was  going to frame it  but  heck no  .. I bound  it  and  made a  journal  book with lined sheets  - a  sweet little  gift  for  someone .

A layout using the  Kit of the  month - 50 Shades of Summer.  In order to create this is    I used the  mail  kit as well as all of  the  addons. The  large  flower I stached  and  created using the  Timmy  rose  technique  which  turned  a  little flat into  3-d pretty !

 I  did use the  Kit of the Month - 50 Shades of Summer in order to create this layout - The Faces of Spring papers  by 13 @rts are so perfect  so mixed media layouts  because of their  thickness and  durability .
The  mists, paints and  maks in the  kit  were  used to  create the  textures and  the  colors (  I mixed and  match the  colors, diluted them,  added  gesso ...  really played  with them to  get t the  soft, grey subtle  look with the   hints  of  coral pink .

Laser cuts and other are from my stash that  have been  collecting dust and  time to use up .

Round Robin Layout

So the  mojo gods are not with  me ...  but  sometimes it  okay to sho off a layout that you  so  do not  like - and  yup  this is one  more that I have  done a nd  has  been  trashed  ...  well  I  keep scrapping  maybe  the mojo will return  ...  so until the  next  one  ...

Just Dream

This  month its about  Dreaming in Flowers for my challenge on the forums.  

I  think there is maybe 5 layouts that I have ever done that have no flowers .. that is right not one .. BUT   this months challenge that I am hosting is all about  - romance and flowers - and the  more  flowers the better ...  

I  hope you enjoy my inspiration piece and come have some fun with us- either with  me or the  other  challenges that have  just  begun ! 

The  flowers are all hand  punched and gold liquid  pearls for the center.

Sweet Child of Mine

From the time  my son was  born  I have always  referred to him as "Sweet Child of Mine" 

Now at  sixteen, I  have  dropped the word Sweet, lol   but  is still referred to as "The Child "

This  layout  was  for  Jax's challenge Gender Bender  - girl layouts  in blue and  boy layouts in pink-  so  here is  the  child  dressed in my  favorite color Pink!  This  was a fun and  inspirational  challenge -  I  enjoyed  making  a pink layout  for a boy ! 

Hot  Air  Balloons by Fab Scraps and misted  with  Fireworks Angel  Pink and Paint Dabber Gold by Ranger 

Some of the  flowers were handmade others are from Petaloo  along with the  laser cut  butterfly and  keyhole.  

Carpe Diem - January 2013 Kit of the Month

Another  layout  using the  Kit  of the Month- Carpe Diem .
I used the main kit, flower add on and  embellishment add on.
The misting   was  done  by  mixing the  Viva Inka  Gold - Gold and Steel Blue into a  misting bottle and  spraying ( love  inka  gold)  and we are carrying all the colors in the store.
I also used  Inka Gold - Gold  on  the  brick  stamp to add to the  background  ...
