One Little Word

One Little Word ...

Here is a layout I did using this months KOM - Carpe Diem for one of our January Challenges. I used the  main kit  along with the  embellishment add on and patterned paper and  cardtcok addon .  I love  the  Cardstock  add on to cut  out  dies  for  flowers and  leaves  .....
The  flowers are  handmade  using  paper from the  kit  .

Where the Sidewalk Ends

Maggi is hosting a challenge on the  forums this month called Poetry in Motion and part of the  challenge is to create a layout but  the  poem of your choice must  be part of the  layout  ... Now  for us that  do not  journal (BUT SHOULD)  this  was  kind of hard an d out of my comfort zone.  The first project  I was making was trashed then I  decided to  print the poem on the  paper and work around it  .. and  voila  my : "Where the Sidewalk Ends"

Products Used :  digital designed background paper, dusty attic, handmade resin pieces, lots  of  new  flying unicorn flowers that will be in the  store  just  before Thanksgiving !

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.

CSI and Flying Unicorn Case #45

Flying Unicorn is sponsoring  CSI this month and  thrilled that  we are!
week two and  CSI  has  brought   out  some   amazing  creativeness  in me  that has been hiding  and the  journaling which  is part of the creative process is fabulous!  So  click  here -come get  creative with CSI and Flying Unicorn !

My  inspiration layout   for  Case #45
I love my bedroom and the oversized library chairs that are placed right beside the large windows. You will find me curled up reading a book escaping into a world with my nook every night before I sleep. My journaling is hidden on a library card tag which tells the story of the countless times I have to remind the child that the bedroom is mine and mine not alone and is not a room to play his guitar in or take a nap or play on his ipad. It is a not a “we” room it is a “my” place. Products are from the Flying Unicorn store - paper: BoBunny Et Cetera Collection, Coredination cardstock, Pink Paislee Alphas, Cottage Cutz dies, MS punch, Flying Unicorn Flowers and handmade flowers
