Joy - Christmas 2010

Here  is another  Christmas Card  for  family  - the  frames  were  cut  with Cricut  Storybook cart and the  joy  with  Winter  Woodland  ....  scroll down  for the  technique and tips on how  to make the  JOY  glitter  All  paper and   flowers  can  be  found in our  store  http://www.flyingunicornstore.com. thanks  for  looking !!

Glossy Accent, Vintage Photo Distress  Ink  both  by Ranger and  MS glitter  - two  styles  both  corarse  but the  large  bottle  is just  Brillo  and th  smaller  one  is  brillo opaco -   which  gives  two different  effects .
Brillo   -  are tiny  flat  squares  and when  used  over  glossy  accent  it  gives a   first  fallen snow  look ... see the  reindeer.
Brillo opaco is  tiny and  coarse and  thicker  giving a  complete   glitter  coverage  which was  used  on the   JOY

Cut  your word  using  any  diecut machine   or  use  thickers   etc   (  I used  regular  white card stock, cut twice   layered using  ZVA dots)  and  distress the  edges slightly  using  distress  ink  or  any   other  ink  with the   distress  tool ... (  make-up applicator  or  q-tips can  be  used too) .  Cover   completely  with  glossy  accents.   Sprinkle  the  MS  brilla opaco   glitter over the  word  and  let  dry.  Voila    - the   wording   becomes  really dimensional      since   distressing, glossy accents  and  glitter  add  dimension  0  it  now  pops  off the  card  and  giving that  first  fallen snow   look and  feel .
