I went to remind the child to take the trash and the recycle out and this is what I found :
The poem reads :
Lay your tiny head down,
And sleep, my little star
Your life's a new adventure,
And you will journey far.
Feel my lips upon your cheek,
Know that I am near
To wrap warm arms around you,
To wipe away a tear.
Close your weary eyes now,
Dream sweetly through the night,
For even in the darkness
My little star shines bright.
I watch you gently sleeping,
Beautiful and brand new,
Be at peace and slumber,
My heart belongs to you.
