"Art is making something out of nothing"

The child bought new headset that came in a little pull box - and as he was throwing out the box - I had to stop him .. it was too cute and too perfect - that it needed to be altered. It is 4"x4" and a perfect size to hold some of the handmade resin pieces I have made and need to gift .
I used Pion Paper - A Day in May Collection for the base with black paint from 13@rts and on top the antique gold rub n buff to color the edges and corners . Using the Prima Ingvlid Bolme distress tool I removed some of the gold to to give it that used shabby, vintage look.
Lots of diecuts from my stash and handmade flowers that the edges were inked with Ingvlid's Bolme Chalk Inks- Pastel Brown. These inks regardless of the color are my most favorite of any inks out there. If you have some, put them near your desk and use them .. you too will fall in love .. If you do not - they are inexpensive - last for a really long time and are truly perfect for masks, distressing, stamping etc.
I also used the ballerina dress from the High Tea collection of the Flying Unicorn Adornments and used the 13@rts gold pearl paint and heat set it ... using heat directly on it causes little bubbles and when cool to the touch I press it down adding a vintage distress look.
