Julie Nutting & Paris Flea Market

“One is loved because one is loved.

No reason is needed for loving.”
― Paulo CoelhoThe Alchemist

Oh what fun I had playing with paper dolls...and  Pion Paper - Paris Flea Market ( and its on sale!!)
I used the  6x6 sheets and was able to create two tags... almost the  same  but  still different ...

I  am often asked what I do with my  tags  ...  and tags are  great  for  adorning to gift  bags  - they  can  be  the  card and r write on the  back ...  sometimes I attach a second  tag  to the  first  using a brad in the  tag  hole and  tag/card  is  born ... Place the  tag  on top of the  present  .... it  does not need to  be an  envelope  .. and  with  complimentary wrapping paper colors  of your  tag  the  receiver  will love the  presentation ...

So make a  batch of cookies and  attach a  handmade  tag to them ... you  give them away with love.

Pink Gloves and Altered Boxes

“Art is a kind of mining," he said. "The artist a variety of prospector searching for the sparkling silver of meaning in the earth.”

Of course I wore pink gloves altering these  boxes to store some  treasures in that I need to send off to some friends.
Using the  Finnabair technique and my box  of  misfits.. items that never  ended up  back in their home or broken little things or flowers I would never use again .. until today.

Black gesso everything (13@rts gesso is the best ever) and then dry brush using the new alchemy paints from Prima  which  I used three colors :

On this box I thought why not, lets try a little deco art crackle glaze ...and  ohh it did show through ... was not sure   ( I did paint it on after the black gesso) . I am one that crackle and me  never seem to get along .. but the deco art crackle  has been a sure thing to date .. it has never disappointed!

My boxes are off to their new homes ... hope you get creating something magical today!

Easter Greeting With Riddersholm Design

“The gifts of the Master are these: freedom, life, hope, new direction, transformation, and intimacy with God. If the cross was the end of the story, we would have no hope. But the cross isn't the end. Jesus didn't escape from death; he conquered it and opened the way to heaven for all who will dare to believe. "

Easter - bunny  rabbits, eggs and chocolates.. but it  really is much more. Whatever your beliefs may be , Easter is a sign of  new beginnings and of hope.
I do not send out many easter cards, which I should, everyone likes happy mail.  This  card is made with one sheet of 12 x 12 paper  Riddersholm Bello Pastello #67  - a perfect  spring  hue  of  greens and pink.  Embellished with white  Flying Unicorn trim and flowers from Petaloo and  Flying Unicorn  it was a  fast and  east card.

The  cluster of  flowers is easy .... work in groups of three ( think triangle)  place your  three largest flowers down first and then  add 2  flowers at a time.  Odd numbers are more pleasing to the eye then even numbers.  Once the flowers  positioned, tuck some leaves in here and there  giving it a  "full effect"  ( think of a bunch of   flowers and the  greenery that comes with the flowers).

Julie Nutting - Camille Paper Doll fun!

“When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.”

Enjoying a little creative time and to create a  tag - a  Camille tag, one of the new Julie Nutting dolls from Prima Marketing.

Winter is almost behind us, and I felt spring-y  -so, with the use of the Lemoncraft Easter Greeting Collection, Petaloo Flowers and Stickers from 13@rts  Secret Letter Collection a  tag to adorn to a gift  bag filled with  goodies and to send  off to a dear friend,

Using cardboard in between the layers giving dimension and flair to the  doll creation.
