Voyage Beneath the Sea Mini Album

“Look at that sea, girls-all silver and shadow and vision of

things not seen. We couldn't enjoy its loveliness any more if

we had millions of dollars and ropes of diamonds.”
― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

This was a fun mini album to make ....  just  me, my scissors glue and  papers... and  after  two weeks  another  mini album done ....
What  I love  about  G45   papers fro mini albums is the  fussy cutting and the depth of the  albums it creates.  There are tons of flips and folds inside  and  holds well over 100 pictures. The cover and the  mermaid is   handmade from a mold I  purchased long ago and Prima flowers.

Enjoy the album.

Hobby House Cards

“It is an absolute human certainty that no one can know his own beauty or perceive a sense of his own worth until it has been reflected back to him in the mirror of another loving, caring human being.”
― John Joseph PowellThe Secret of Staying in Love
Oh these were fun and easy to make! Using the Hobby House Toppers  with  Studio 75 Sunshine Love and  some Petaloo flowers three cards are  ready to be sent out  ...

You get 2 of each of the toppers and  the Sunshine Love Paper pack  matches these perfectly  and  one pack is  enough to  complete all 6 toppers with layering ( and making your own flowers too if you choose)  or I used  Petaloo flowers, velvet  violet series.  Blue and  yellow flowers are a perfect match  for the  toppers and the  paper pack .

Happy Birthday & Sherri Baldy

“With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come.”
― William ShakespeareThe Merchant of Venice

One can never have too many birthday cards on hand.  There is finally a need in me to create again, and I have been loving it.  Going home from the store, a quick dinner and  off to my  craft room I go ... Sometimes the time escapes  me and  before I know it its 3:30am ... thank goodness the store only opens at  10:00am and I have a 5-7 minute commute!

Finally got to  play with my copics and Sherri Baldy digi stamps  that  I purchased a little  while ago ... and  with the papers Floral Muse by Docraft that were in the June  kit ( sorry sold out)... a  soft shabby Birthday card was created ...

My style is  shabby and soft, no one can dispute that and  even on the  coloring with the  copics  I stay with the  light  shades ...
A  little bit of paper layering and  using  some  ovals and  frames... and  a little flower clustering  ...  done  ...
The  berries, are  from Petaloo - Spring Sale .. and  painted them gold to match the card

Pink Gloves and Altered Boxes

“Art is a kind of mining," he said. "The artist a variety of prospector searching for the sparkling silver of meaning in the earth.”

Of course I wore pink gloves altering these  boxes to store some  treasures in that I need to send off to some friends.
Using the  Finnabair technique and my box  of  misfits.. items that never  ended up  back in their home or broken little things or flowers I would never use again .. until today.

Black gesso everything (13@rts gesso is the best ever) and then dry brush using the new alchemy paints from Prima  which  I used three colors :

On this box I thought why not, lets try a little deco art crackle glaze ...and  ohh it did show through ... was not sure   ( I did paint it on after the black gesso) . I am one that crackle and me  never seem to get along .. but the deco art crackle  has been a sure thing to date .. it has never disappointed!

My boxes are off to their new homes ... hope you get creating something magical today!

Easter Greeting With Riddersholm Design

“The gifts of the Master are these: freedom, life, hope, new direction, transformation, and intimacy with God. If the cross was the end of the story, we would have no hope. But the cross isn't the end. Jesus didn't escape from death; he conquered it and opened the way to heaven for all who will dare to believe. "

Easter - bunny  rabbits, eggs and chocolates.. but it  really is much more. Whatever your beliefs may be , Easter is a sign of  new beginnings and of hope.
I do not send out many easter cards, which I should, everyone likes happy mail.  This  card is made with one sheet of 12 x 12 paper  Riddersholm Bello Pastello #67  - a perfect  spring  hue  of  greens and pink.  Embellished with white  Flying Unicorn trim and flowers from Petaloo and  Flying Unicorn  it was a  fast and  east card.

The  cluster of  flowers is easy .... work in groups of three ( think triangle)  place your  three largest flowers down first and then  add 2  flowers at a time.  Odd numbers are more pleasing to the eye then even numbers.  Once the flowers  positioned, tuck some leaves in here and there  giving it a  "full effect"  ( think of a bunch of   flowers and the  greenery that comes with the flowers).
