Just Saying hello card using Lemoncraft House of Roses Collection

“The story of life is quicker than the wink of an eye, the story

of love is hello and goodbye...until we meet again”
― Jimi Hendrix
If you have not had the chance to play with the Lemoncraft papers than I so urge you too .. There is just a beauty to them  like no other.  The House of Roses collection, lends itself to a shabby vintage rustic look, that in my world is so pleasing to the eye .

This was a  "fast" card - Three layers of  paper 1/4" smaller than the one below it  - distressed edges inked with  Barn door chalk ink, cardboard between the layers, and some hemp cording  wrapped under the top layer adding to the  rustic  feel .

A handmade resin frame, with  gold highlights, and the gorgeous Prima Coy flowers  with little Petaloo wild blossoms tucked in here and there. Some beaded trim and leaf diecuts added to create the flower spray and the  card is  done.

A quick and easy card to send  someone that you care about and  simply say "hello"

“Follow your inner moonlight; don't hide the madness.”
This was a  fun just because card  with  summer fun colors that I created  for our June Challenge - Use Your Stash .. and that is what  I did ...  Papers are from the Prima Collection - Meadow  Lark, died ribbon using alcohol inks, and  lots  of  Flying Unicorn flowers  (  okay those are  new) and the  digi stamp from Sherri Baldy

Hello

It's important to slow down,
 every now and then,
for no other reason than to call someone to say
'Hi.'
It doesn't have to be a long conversation.
Just calling out of the blue
does more to let someone know
you still care about them
 than nearly anything else.

I  do adore the Sherri Baldy Stamps - they are  cute and so fun to play with! A just  hello card using the  new Princess collection by Prima  - and lots of  Petaloo flowers.

Wish - A manly card

Its once a year that  I need to make a male Birthday card - for my Brother-In-Law ....  you may wonder about the child and his  birthday -  yeah no he  does not get a card from me  - he gets a present instead!

For this card I used the new Cartographer Collection - designed by our dear Frank for Prima Marketing - its a great manly vintage collection.  Laser cut chicken wire chippies and the hot air balloon are actually from an old Kaisercraft collection - Up UP and Away. The Flowers are from Petaloo Mulberry Collection, and the Dazzler Collection that I have been hoarding and now time to use! The word wish - is used from the Authentique collection Halloween Enchanting Collection

I have used the new with the old again - allowing me to play with new goodies and destashing as well - that is a great feeling!

Until next March for another  manly card !

Use Your Stash - Mix the New with the Old

Cherish those precious moments because they did not happen by plan or design but by feelings, hunch, chance, fate, destiny or just the need to say hello to a particular person at that point in time.

I am going to start with LOVING the Sherri Baldy Digi Stamps! They are  whimsical and fun and just  awesome !
This inspirational card and envelope is  part of  our Use your stash challenge on the  forums this month  - its about mixing the  old with the new.  The papers used on the card are from the Princess Collection designed by Jodie Lee for Prima and the envelope which has the tones of the collection are  from  way back when - Bo Bunny's Collection Back to Backs (maybe 2008-2009)  but the  two sheets I had are now used and gone !

I dug through my stash and it was time to use up some chippies that I have been hoarding for years and  years, some  bling flourishes - even though they may be timeless  I have had a collection piling up for years. I was also hoarding these small metal  skeleton keys, refusing to use them ever - and yes I finally parted with one .. now  there are only 4 left in my stash .
So go ahead  mix the  old with the  new and  enjoy the  creativity and the  cleaning  of your stash !  Do not  forget to post your  project in our  challenge for a  chance to win an RAK .
