Playdate Thursday and Mini Album Binding

I've been looking so long at these pictures of you

That I almost believe that they're real

I've been living so long with my pictures of you

That I almost believe that the pictures are

All I can feel

-The Cure

Hello and welcome to Playdate Thursday!  This is the one day of the week where the creative team shares a tutorial so that you learn and grow in our love of paper crafting,

Today, its my turn, and I am sharing a new, maybe an easier way to bind your mini album.

The creating of a mini album is a wonderful way to store  pictures from an occasion, a moment in time, a gift given with love. The  process of making a mini album should be soothing to the soul and not rushed. They are time  consuming, but a great project to work on when you can  steal a minute here and there to scrap, and  a perfect summer project.

So  lets begin the building process :

***if you want a complete closure for the book on each end of the 6x6 add a cut chipboard piece of 1.25" leaving a 1/8" gap **

Come join me and the rest of the Creative Team and build your mini album and showcase it in our Card /Tag okay Mini Album Challenge this  month !!

Mojo Monday

Its a double me Mojo Monday! The sketch and the inspiration are from ME..ME .. I do not do many layouts anymore -  they are hard to do when your mojo just  does not want to work with you when it comes to layouts ...so I have to start days in advance to create a layout and then (shhh I cheat .. I  make the sketch after the layout)

I hope  through the  sketch or inspiration layout we have  sparked your  creativity and can not  wait to  see your creation!  Remember to share  it  on our  forums or on our Facebook Page for a chance to win a  10.00  gift card from the store!

For the layout I used Jodie Lee's Fairy Bell Collection for Prima  - They are my colors and I love the softness ... when  mojo is not  with you - you have to go to tried tested and true   to make creating a  little easier.

There are lots and lots of handmade resin flowers (the lilies the small daisies, the leaves ) and they have been painted with 13@rts paints... If you have not used the 13@rts paints yet -  then buy 2 or 3 of your favorite colors and trust me you will be back to by them all .... They are the bomb in paints!  This was my first time using them ... and  I was shocked  how  much I am in love with them  ... A staple on the desk forevermore. Flying Unicorn Flowers with Petaloo flowers mixed in .

For You - Use Your Stash Challenge

"It's important to slow down, every now and then, for no other reason than to call someone to say 'Hi.' It doesn't have to be a long conversation. Just calling out of the blue does more to let someone know you still care about them than nearly anything else."

Spring  Cleaning and using up my stash - and on my last  pieces of the scrap cake paper collection ... I will be sad when it all  gone but its time to Spring Clean and USE  YOUR STASH !!! So come join us this month on the forums and  USE YOUR STASH

Where the Sidewalk Ends

Maggi is hosting a challenge on the  forums this month called Poetry in Motion and part of the  challenge is to create a layout but  the  poem of your choice must  be part of the  layout  ... Now  for us that  do not  journal (BUT SHOULD)  this  was  kind of hard an d out of my comfort zone.  The first project  I was making was trashed then I  decided to  print the poem on the  paper and work around it  .. and  voila  my : "Where the Sidewalk Ends"

Products Used :  digital designed background paper, dusty attic, handmade resin pieces, lots  of  new  flying unicorn flowers that will be in the  store  just  before Thanksgiving !

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
