FROM white simple tags to textured and the vintage look ... and this technique is so easy ....... 
You will need :
1) tag 2) embossing powder 3) glue 4) heat gun 5) sponge 6) distress inks 7) water
1) Use any type of glue and cover the white tag
2) sprinkle the embossong powder over the glued areas
3) heat the embossing powder - you will see that it "bubbles" causing a distress effect
4) when the tag has cooled put the distress ink on your sponge applicator and mist with water
5) pat unto tag until the desired look is achieved ....
