Trash to Treasure with Flying Unicorn using Craft Consortium Paper Collection and Petaloo

"For where thy treasure is, there also will thy heart be."

-anonymous

This was a fun challenge and I love to turn trash into treasure!  Dawid's challenge on the Flying Unicorn Forums gave me the inspiration and fun I needed.

There is a step by step tutorial by Dawid- just click here

From these ohh lets just throw out the empty roll to something pretty and this time PINK !

I used the new paper collection from Craft Consortium The Gypsy Gypsy Collection - oh my, oh my its gorgeous!!! The top is garden of blossom of the pretty in pink flowers from Petaloo.

A little bit more of this and that from beads to glass bobbles and the  treasure laser cut from 2crafty -and the  butterfly in flight from Petaloo finished this  little project off perfectly .Time to go add some goodies inside and  send it  off as a RAK !

WCYDW - May Flowers

April has brought May flowers! What fun for a What Can You Wednesday but to make your own flower pack!  In 30 minutes or less you can make all 5  flowers.   The instructions for the  first flower is the  same stitching technique you use for all the samples -

Little to no supplies are  needed  ( and if you have no fabric  - go cut up hubby's white shirt - it works  perfectly and  less  laundry!!)

Here are   4 more styles of  flowers using a 2" circle template - Since the  folds are different the  finished size of the flower changes as  well giving you  a  perfect    handmade flower pack and  perfect to us on  your next  project.

Dreams

 To accomplish great things,
we must not only act,
but also dream;
not only plan,
but also believe.

Love the new collection by 7Dots - Illumination - It is a soft pastel collection with a grey side that contrasts the  palette and  makes the the  sweet colors stand out!

WCYDW - The Rose ( a flower tutorial)

A rose is the visible result of an infinitude of complicated goings on in the bosom of the earth and in the air above, and similarly a work of art is the product of strange activities in the human mind.Clive Bell

It has been awhile since we have brought you a flower tutorial - so I thought I would share with you all one of my favorite flowers to make and the best part they take less than  5 minutes to make! You  need nothing special for this tutorial - but the creative possibilities of embellishing and altering these flowers are endless and would love to see how you improve and expand on these!

The finished product !
Hope  you enjoyed and they really are  1-2-3 easy but ohhh soo pretty !

I saw these Waterbury Medallion Banners  ( LC-1201-01) ( and you get 3 of them in the set) and as soon as  I saw them  I thought  - oh my a  cool yes you know  it  - Christmas card !
I cut the  bottom off so that they were  now  straight ( the extra that was cut off  was used  to layer my pieces) and this is what I made :

I attached the banner with a cardstock fold.  Using the new  Magnolia Collection in the store  Sea Breeze and Ingvlid Bolme chalk Inks Barn Yard with a Magnolia stamp and Spectrum Noir Markers  for coloring. Lots of  Die Cuts  from Spell Binders, Cottage Cutz and Magnolia-another Christmas card is done .
